Alexa Nikol Curran (b.1993, St. Louis, MO) is an artist and educator who attends to the somatic surface of the image. Her visual practice is informed by postmodern dance methodology and is rooted in art historical inquiry with a focus on gender, sexuality, and representation in Christian art of the Renaissance and Early Modern period. She holds a BA from Bennington College and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, and is currently a Visiting Faculty at Bennington College.
